It would have been interesting to see how people would annotate visual maps such as this with their own ideas and comments. It would have been a shame though to even consider putting a pen against such great works of visual mapping!

Hi Matthew, we did have some flip charts near the strategic planning murals so that people could comment on the vision and direction of the organization, and we got quite a few comments.

Were the attendees able to interact with the visual maps by adding their own ideas?

Ha! The flexibility gene...is that like the art gene? Thankfully I've been a yogi for about 12 years so my flexibility comes in handy when I need to use it!

Hi Janine, thanks! There were a few moments of wild panic and omg, what have I gotten myself into, but it all worked out in the end. And yes, I love the new tool in my toolbox!

Ericka, yes, you never know what the conference center will allow so you have to be able to go with the flow...and yes, visual maps should be at more conferences. They add a fantastic, engaging element to the whole event.
